I Love New York Horse Racing!!!

I am a proud Long Island native whose childhood included frequent rides
on the N6 bus down Hempstead Turnpike from my Grandparent’s home in Franklin Square to Beautiful Belmont Park and attended my 1st Belmont Stakes in 1978….Alydar vs Affirmed…. ENOUGH SAID!!!

I’ve enjoyed being a Thoroughbred and harness owner in New York since 2003.
I have been employed full time in the industry since 2008 with West Point Thoroughbreds, where we’ve introduced hundreds of new partners to Thoroughbred ownership. Over the last 15+ years, I worked closely with dozens of leading trainers and their teams, so I am extremely empathetic to the challenges our horsemen face on a daily basis.

I am also a passionate handicapper, bettor, and student of the game who understands the concerns of our betting public.

I was a 1986 graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego with a BS in
Business Administration. In my post college years, and not surprising to those who know me, I was the owner and operator of “Excuses,” a neighborhood pub, for ten years in Oswego, NY. Prior to joining WPT in 2008, I spent nine years in the automotive industry as a Sales Director for a division of Daimler Chrysler.

My wife, Karen, and I have resided in Saratoga Springs for the last 19+ years and we have made it a life priority to give back to organizations that better the lives of people in our community and thoroughbred racing industry. These include:

● Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors
Vocal advocate for NY Racing in the Saratoga County community.
● Belmont Child Care Association (BCCA) Advisory Board
● NY Racetrack Chaplaincy
● BEST – Helped implement the “Groom of the Day” program
● Captain Family Services- (Saratoga County) “Helping people help themselves.”
