Arthur B. Berry III is a businessman, investor, thoroughbred owner, and experienced board director with more than three decades of leadership experience.
Berry graduated from Wyoming Seminary Preparatory School in 1982 and from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs in 1986.
Berry acquired Camelback Mountain Resort in Pennsylvania in 2005 and owned and operated the business until its sale in 2019. During that period, he substantially expanded the resort, growing it to more than $100 million in annual revenue and over $20 million in EBITDA, with more than 2,000 employees and approximately one million guests annually.
His board experience includes approximately 15 years on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau, 15 years on the National Ski Areas Association Board of Directors, and approximately 10 years on the Board and Executive Committee of Affinity Insurance Ltd., the world’s largest heterogeneous group insurance captive. He has also been active in philanthropy, including many years supporting United Way fundraising initiatives.
Berry entered Thoroughbred ownership in 2024 through Ocean Reef Racing and has since expanded his involvement in the sport. His connection to Saratoga and Thoroughbreds began decades earlier while attending Skidmore College, where he rode and jumped Thoroughbred racehorses.
Today, Berry is semi-retired, maintains a summer residence in Saratoga Springs, and is actively involved in the Saratoga community.
