My name is Aron Yagoda and I am seeking re-election as an Owner/Director of NYTHA. I have been around racing my entire life as a third-generation owner, and have owned horses myself for 40 years participating mainly on the NYRA circuit. In addition to being an owner, I have participated in racing as a breeder and a pinhooker. Horse racing is my life’s passion and I am around the racetrack and backstretch on a weekly — sometimes daily — basis. I always make myself available to assist anyone with any issues that I can help with. I feel that I have a good working relationship with many owners, trainers, and racing executives. I will continue, if elected, to be available and represent the horsemen and women the best way I can. I am also a board member of BEST, which represents the hard-working men and women of the NYRA backstretch.

I truly believe if we as a horsemen’s group work together and along with NYRA we can continue to make racing in New York on a year-round basis the best racing in the country. We are all in this together and we all must strive to make horse racing the great sport it once was.
