2025 Jockey Club Fact Book

The Jockey Club is pleased to introduce the 2025 edition of our annual guide to the Thoroughbred industry in North America.

We hope you find the statistics and information contained herein helpful in your research.

Although most statistics may be considered final, some are not.

For example, data pertaining to 2024 racing, supplied by racetracks of North America and the North American Thoroughbred industry’s Official database for racing information, Equibase Company, can be considered final but is subject to revision if additional data becomes available.

Because of the cyclical nature of reporting procedures, however, breeding statistics such as the distribution of foals, stallions and mares are subject to change. These statistics are updated on a regular basis.

(Unless otherwise noted, Canadian dollars have not been converted to U.S. dollars.)

If you need additional information about the Thoroughbred breeding or racing industry, please contact our Communications Department.
