Spanning nearly five decades, I have been involved in countless aspects of the Thoroughbred industry, as an owner, breeder, and farm owner, including both living and working on the NYRA backstretch. Currently, I am an active partner in Hidden Brook Farm, a 600-acre Thoroughbred nursery based in Paris, Kentucky.
Hidden Brook is a multi-faceted facility specializing in breeding, raising, breaking, and consigning; we consistently rank among the leading consignors and buyer’s agent at all major sales. Since 1997, I have served as Director of Breeder Services at Adena Springs Farm, directing the marketing and sales of stallion seasons in four locations, domestically and internationally. Since January 2006, I have also been an industry consultant to HRTV.
Whenever possible, I enjoy volunteering personal time for the benefit of the Thoroughbred racing and breeding communities. I have previously served as a Director of the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation from 1997 to 2002, and I am honored to serve as a current Member of the Breeders’ Cup Board, active on Governance, Nominations and Enhanced Experience committees. Presently, I serve on the board of the N.Y. Backstretch Employees Pension Trust.
I am hopeful that the diversity of my experience will bring a unique perspective to the board of the New York Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association. I am confident that the recently elected board has the passion and vision to capably address the many challenges that lie ahead.
